As we head into the offseason, I plan to have a recurring series devoted to player news and action plans. We never can settle in the offseason. Staying current on dynasty news is important to improving dynasty rosters, especially when other owners may be taking time away.
Aaron Rodgers Praises WR Geronimo Allison
Aaron Rodgers specifically pointed to rookie WR Geronimo Allison, after Jordy Nelson was knocked out of Green Bay’s Wild Card win. Rodgers was quoted calling Allison effective and noted his need to step into Nelson’s role.
Rodgers has been tough on teammates in the past and has not spoken to his family in years. So to see him glowing about Allison is noteworthy. Additionally, Green Bay has proven to be effective in evaluating receiver talent out of the draft.
Currently, Allison is not rostered in all but the deepest of dynasty leagues. Allison had a middling projection when he was signed as undrafted free agent in 2016, so his long-term projection is questionable. At this point, he is worth a monitor in middle size dynasty leagues. If he continues to show chemistry with Rodgers he is an end of the roster stash into the offseason.
