The red zone in the NFL is where fantasy football matchups are won and lost and dynasty value is mined. Championships are built, or torn down, as a team marches towards the end zone. Here is a breakdown of the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, and Washington Redskins red zone turnover from 2014 and the changes in store for 2015:

Dallas

Biggest 2014 Departure

Demarco Murray, 62 opportunities

2015 Impact

The passing game returns intact, but the elephant in the fantasy football room is the Dallas run game. The offensive line churns out efficiency and only five red zone running back looks (Joseph Randle 2, Lance Dunbar 3) return to the backfield. Randle is the leader in the clubhouse for significant work. Darren McFadden was added on a low-level free agent deal. Lance Dunbar is getting some sleeper love in fantasy circles. At their comparative prices, I like McFadden and Dunbar more than the high-priced Randle. While not an overt power back, McFadden projects as the best goal line option of the trio.

One interesting note about Dez Bryant is he has 15 or fewer red zone targets in three of the last four seasons. Imagine if he saw 20+ regularly like other premiere receivers.
