It has certainly been an interesting first quarter of the NFL season. A great many breakout stars and injuries have more than likely ravaged your dynasty squads and you want solid help rebuilding a solid lineup. I have what I believe will be great finds to help your IDP squad continue to excel. All of these players are available in 75% or more of leagues. This week we concentrate on defensive tackles and ends.
Defensive Tackle
Chris Baker, Washington Redskins, Owned in less than 1% of leagues
Baker has 13 tackles and 2.5 sacks over the first four games, which offers big play ability and tackles from this usually low-scoring position. He plays some end also which only enhances his value.
Nick Hayden, Dallas Cowboys, Owned in less than 1% of leagues
Hayden has been averaging 5.5 tackles over the last two games and even has a couple passes defensed.
Defensive End
Jarvis Jenkins, Chicago Bears, Owned in less than 1% of leagues
Jenkins has been a bright spot for the Bears since Jared Allen was traded, compiling 14 total tackles and 3 sacks over the past two games, finally hitting the radar on my DL rankings.
Kerry Wynn, New York Giants, Owned in less than 1% of leagues
Wynn has been the beneficiary of Jason Pierre-Paul’s fireworks accident, solidifying the Giants defense at the left defensive end position. He racked up 16 tackles in the last two weeks. At 24 years old, the Giants may eventually move on from the huge financial cost of JPP.
Move on these guys fast. The secret will be out soon.
