This startup draft series continues as teams build their important core rosters. Read up on the format of the league (dynasty best ball), scoring, and opening rounds of draft commentary and analysis here:
With 15 rounds in the books, it is time to take the last morsels of meat off this dynasty draft bone. Instead of every selection, the most-notable picks are included in order from round-to-round.
Round 16
Paul Richardson (Huge injury discount)
Andre Johnson
Brett Hundley (Shows the run of quarterbacks in play)
Gavin Escobar
Tyler Lockett
Javorius Allen
Roddy White
Round 17
Luke Willson (Stock cooling with Jimmy Graham trade)
Rashad Greene
Josh Huff
Jeremy Langford
Theo Riddick
Back on the clock after trading up and out of Round 16, I take a big talent swing on Michael Dyer. Long removed from his top prospect status, but banking on skills showing through with any opportunity in the NFL.
Cameron Artis-Payne
DeAndre Smelter
Round 18
Richard Rodgers
Jason Witten
After Michael Dyer last round, I go back to the phenom running back rookie pool with Malcolm Brown. He had an outstanding 18-year-old season at Texas and the tools are there, regardless of how late (or if) he gets drafted by the NFL.
Later in the round, I take NFL Combine standout Chris Conley. Love taking shots on prospects like Conley deep in a startup draft.
