As the decisions for 2015-eligible prospects trickle in, the draft classes in 2015 and 2016 take shape and shift in their relative strength. Three wide receivers that were 2015 eligible have already decided to stay in school. Here is a quick projection model view:

D’haquille Williams

A twitter follower mentioned this to me prior to seeing the news myself. It was a sad day for dynasty owners as Williams was in the running to be the top projection model score for all the major conference 2015 receiver prospects. Williams has two elite junior college seasons under his belt and added a solid SEC season in 2014. He is projected to be prototypically-sized with at least average athleticism. Williams is now the top major conference wide receiver for the 2016 draft class.

Leonte Carroo

The Rutgers product shifts from the second or third tier in the projection model for 2015 to the No.2 big school projection model score, behind D’haquille Williams, for 2016. Carroo will still be 22.6 to open his NFL career as part of the 2016 class, but a year younger with an already well-above average production score would have been ideal for 2015.

Travin Dural

I was higher on Dural than most and the metrics liked him quite a bit. He needs some man weight at a projected 6’2″ and 190 pounds and will now enter the NFL at 22.9 instead of 21.9, a noteworthy difference. He is averaging a ridiculous 20.5 yards-per-catch in his LSU career. Exiting college this year would give him the one-hit wonder moniker and now will have a chance to repeat his weighted market share in the 40s for an additional season. With a projection score of 60, Dural currently resides inside the top-10 major conference receivers for 2016.

More updates on declarations like this in the coming weeks, in addition to the pre-combine prospect profiles for the 2015 NFL draft class. Welcome to draft season and let’s build some dynasties.
