Week 12 Notes
The weather for the Bills-Jets game is a big factor and makes Kyle Orton dicey regardless of the juicy matchup. Monitor the updates, but I am breaking ties, or even close decisions, against non-running backs in that game for now. The Jets have been horrible against quarterbacks for close to two months now.
Colin Kaepernick is a borderline must-start this week. The Redskins are horrible against opposing passing games. While Kaepernick’s floor is unsettling weekly, his median and upside potential this week shoots up.
Zach Mettenberger has one of the best closing schedules for quarterback efficiency and this week is no different with the Eagles. There may be a turnover or two mixed in, but the Titans passing game has a high floor in terms of yards and a multiple touchdowns.
Josh McCown and his trio of trees for weapons get another top matchup with the Bears after ripping up Washington last week.
After getting roughed up in Week 11 by the Rams, Peyton Manning gets a stingy Dolphins defense. The volume of passes is ridiculously high, but expecting a high-efficiency day is dicey.
Matt Ryan, Tom Brady, and Russell Wilson are other notable fantasy options with tough matchups in Week 12. Temper expectations.
