Ameer Abdullah is one of the running backs I look forward to studying on tape more than most of the 2015 NFL Draft prospects. Nebraska games were not a major part of my college football viewership this season and with 145 total yards per game this season, an encore to his 148 yards per game in 2013, Ameer Abdullah has the recent production to call for attention this draft season.
Despite Ameer Abdullah’s strong yardage totals the past two seasons, his touchdown production on the ground has been average and his 18 and 19-year-old college seasons were forgettable compared to the better prospects in recent memory. Abdullah exceled, but at an older age when most NFL-level talents emerge above their peers.
