One of my first devy dynasty league journeys was with a medium-depth dynasty startup in the 2016 offseason. The format is a unique one with 12 teams and 2-2-3-2 with 3 RB-WR-TE flex spots. Yes, 2 quarterbacks and 2 tight ends are mandatory. A deep taxi squad can house devy (up to 30 rostered for the entire league, no team limit) and rookies.
With how I built my team from the draft, I was unlikely to compete in Year 1. At the time of trade execution, I was in the bottom-4 tier of points scored and potential points with a 30% All-Play Win%. As a result, this time of year is about converting current year production into future capital as fringe producers only hurt your draft position, by potentially a spot or two.
