2015 NFL Draft

When sifting through the projection model on a regular basis, I search for trends and commonalities for successful NFL Draft prospects at the next level. Of course the entire model culminates in overall and category scores for each prospect, however, the common traits and subsets of players I find intriguing independent of the raw numbers.

One thing I constantly preach is how important production is for running backs. Not just production, but ideally early career collegiate production and above-average marks in rushing AND receiving. We want running backs not limited to passing down or thumper duties. Limitations and long track records from college of not excelling in one area or another leads to frustrating committees and tempered upside in the NFL and for fantasy owners.
