Teams on Bye for Week 11: Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints, New York Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers

Values of the Week
Jay Cutler – $10,100 (vs DEN)
Over the past six games Jay Cutler has put up over 18 points.  This is a difficult match-up with the Broncos, but if this season has shown anything, it is Cutler has bought into the Gase system and he will put up points.

Darren McFadden – $9,800 (@ MIA)
Tony Romo is coming back this week and it is going to have an impact on every facet of the Dallas Cowboys.  With Romo back the safeties will back off the line and give the Cowboys offensive line will give McFadden more room to run and catch passes out of the backfield.

Andre Ellington – $7,300 (vs CIN)
Starting to get back in the swing of things Ellington looked explosive in relief of CJ?K in week 10.  Ellington is a great GPP (tournament) play with his speed to the edge and receiving abilities out of the backfield.

Danny Amendola – $7,800 (vs BUF)
Amendola is the chalk value play of the week.  One of my favorite DFS philosophies is you shouldn’t be afraid to take the points on chalk plays where you can and scoop up the value in other places.  Amendola was running the Edelman routes after Edelman went out and has already shown to have a good connection with Brady.

Chris Givens – $6,300 (vs STL)
The goal of a cash game play is to reduce risk and to try to double your value.  Givens, physically, has more talent than Kamar Aiken and has the ability to be the WR1 in this offense.  Last week was a step in the right direction and still has a lot more left in the tank.  Look for Givens to only get more involved in the offense and for his numbers to go up.

Stevie Johnson – $7,700 (vs KC)
His first game without Keenan Allen and he put up double-digit targets, 7 receptions, and almost 70 yards.  This week Johnson gets a much worse secondary and another week to build chemistry with Rivers.

Eric Ebron – $7,000 (vs OAK)
Tight ends have not been fairing as well against the Raiders in recent weeks, but Ebron has the physical gifts to pick back up on this trend.  Out of seven games played this year Ebron has put up four double-digit games and has three games above 15 points.

Players To Avoid
Andy Dalton – $12,300 (@ ARI)
The Bengals offense was shutdown on Monday Night Football by the Houston Texans.  The Cardinals present similar, if not more, problems for the Bengals.  The Cardinals will continue showing “Bad Andy” and won’t let the offense get on track.

Chris Ivory – $11,400 (@ HOU)
The Texans came out of the bye week ready to play and focused on shutting down the Bengals offense.  Their next test will be against Chris Ivory and the Jets.  If the Texans defense has really returned to form then Ivory could be in for tough sledding.

AJ Green – $14,600 (@ ARI)
This has not been the season for Green everyone thought it would be.  Green only has three games over 15 points this season.

Greg Olsen – $11,600 (vs WAS)
As I mentioned earlier the goal is to always be able to get at least twice the value from players you draft.  Unfortunately Olsen’s value keeps going up and Olsen only has two games above 20 points this season.  While Olsen does provide the consistency, he does not provide the value.

Stacks of the Week

Mark Sanchez ($10,000) + Zach Ertz ($6,000) = $16,000 (vs TB)
When Sanchez came in Ertz finally started getting on track in this offense putting up his best game this season.

Matthew Stafford ($10,600) + Calvin Johnson ($13,700) + Eric Ebron ($7,000) = $31,300 (vs OAK)
The Raiders secondary was not challenged by the Vikings, but the Lions will be a very different team for them to play.  Look for the Lions offense to take off this week and for Calvin to put up possibly WR1 overall value this week.
