The Super Bowl is over and college football is in the books, the combine is not for a couple of weeks. What time is it? It’s that time on the dynasty football calendar to take stock of your teams, assess the needs, and watch some game film!
The Eye Test
Building a top-notch dynasty team the UTH way can be done by reading the articles and projections on this site and applying that knowledge on draft day, in trades, and on waiver wire pickups as you manage your roster year to year. But nobody is more intimate with your team and has the knowledge of your league makeup as you do. If you haven’t read the weekly challenge that Doug posted on January 26th, you should, it ties in perfectly with what I am about to cover. In order to take your game to the next level, I recommend that you learn the importance of the “eye test”.
If you are playing dynasty fantasy football then no doubt you are a fan of the sport of football. You do not need to watch hours of game film on each player or prospect, but do watch enough so that you get a feel for the types of players that you like and those that fit your risk tolerance. We all have biases on certain players that may stem from comments we have read about, or may be unwarranted based on their team.
