Delta 27 Dynasty League

Delta 38 Dynasty League

Delta 39 Dynasty League

This was a 2014 startup team, drafting very young and looking towards being one of the strongest teams in the league for 2015 and beyond. Many well-known names in the dynasty and fantasy community are in this league.

  • 12 teams, Full PPR, 4pt Passing TDs
  • 28-man rosters
  • Start 1-2-3-1 with 2 RB-WR-TE flex

Noteworthy Moves

After molding the team in the startup draft, few moves were made in-season. No trades were executed and only a few late-season stashes:

11.27.2014 Added Nick Toon

Considering the depth of the league, Toon is a slam-dunk stash into the offseason.

12.11.2014 Added Kamar Aiken

Aiken is one of my deep stashes at wide receiver. He is thick with good athleticism. Plus the Ravens have some shuffling of the receiver depth chart coming in the offseason.

12.28.2014 Added Quincy Enunwa

Was activated for the final week of the season (did not do anything) and has the prototypical size-athleticism to be an outside receiver in the NFL. Worst case, Enunwa hits the waiver wire come rookie draft time.

12.28.2014 Added Rob Housler

Mining for anything to close the season’s waiver wire here. Housler has a great athleticism score and (finally) hits free agency. There is a chance he goes somewhere to buoy his value into the season.

The Season

As expected, the season was one of seasoning for my young roster. I was 0-8 t0 start the season before finishing with a 2-3 stretch, earning the 1.01 draft position for 2015. I waited until Round 9 to address the running back position in the startup draft, but have a core of Tre Mason, Lamar Miller, C.J. Anderson, Latavius Murray, Ka’Deem Carey, Joseph Randle, and Robert Turbin heading into next season.

Season-Ending Roster

QB

Colin Kaepernick, Alex Smith

RB

Tre Mason, Lamar Miller, C.J. Anderson, Latavius Murray, Ka’Deem Carey, Joseph Randle, Robert Turbin, Tyler Gaffney

WR

Mike Evans, Brandin Cooks, Alshon Jeffery, Allen Robinson, Percy Harvin, Cordarrelle Patterson, Josh Huff, Aaron Dobson, Nick Toon, Jaron Brown, Josh Boyce, Michael Campanaro, Quincy Enunwa, Corey Washington

TE

Eric Ebron, Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Crockett Gillmore, Gavin Escobar, Robert Housler

Rookie Picks

1.01, 2.01, 3.01

Outlook

Patterson was a glaring miss compared to preseason expectations, but the rest of the running backs and wide receivers held or increased in value during the season. I still remember missing on Russell Wilson by one pick and taking Colin Kaepernick as an alternative. I attempted to trade up, but could not finalize a deal. Not ‘overpaying’ could have long-lasting penalties. The quality young depth will begin to pay dividends in 2015 in addition to adding the top rookie and the No.13 overall rookie pick.
