Continuing with the season recaps, here are other installments in the series:

Team UTH Dynasty League

Delta 11 Dynasty League

Delta 12 Dynasty League

Delta 15 Dynasty League

Delta 25  Dynasty League

Delta 27 Dynasty League

Delta 38 Dynasty League

This was a 2014 startup team, drafting very young and looking towards being one of the strongest teams in the league for 2015 and beyond.

  • 12 teams, 0.5 RB PPR, 1.0 WR-TE
  • 22-man rosters
  • Start 1-1-2-1 with 2 RB-WR-TE flex

Noteworthy Moves

Here are a few of the startup trades I made, with the players and picks now in focus:

Gave 1.11 (Eddie Lacy), 9.11 (Rueben Randle for 2.04 (Keenan Allen), 8.04 (Tyler Eifert)

Was looking to bail on the first round after not landing a top wide receiver, which was unlikely at 1.11. This is close to a wash or I lost slightly at this point.

Gave 4.02 (C.J. Spiller), 8.02 (Reggie Bush) for 5.08 (Odell Beckham), 6.05 (Davante Adams)

Obviously the other team went in a non-UTH direction with the picks. Honestly Beckham alone is worth an infinite number of ‘Spillers’ or ‘Bushes’ in dynasty terms at this point in their careers. This is the type of trade that tilts a dynasty league for years.

Gave 6.01 (T.Y. Hilton) for 6.09 (Eric Ebron) and 2015 2nd (2.12)

Like the deal to move out of the 1st round, this one is an even deal, at best, half a year later. Hilton fueled a title run and Ebron has progressed slowly like 99% of rookie tight ends.

Gave 6.06 (Chris Johnson) for 7.11 (Cody Latimer) and 2015 1st (1.05)

More reaching on old running backs. I am skeptical about Cody Latimer, but the 1.05 is another windfall of value. Owners were throwing around future 1sts rather casually in the middle rounds.

Gave 7.01 (Ladarius Green) for 7.05 (Russell Wilson) and 2015 2nd (2.06)

Could not pass on Wilson here and getting a top-20 rookie pick to move down a handful of mid-round spots was a no-brainer.

Gave 9.07 (Vernon Davis) for 16.12 (Blake Bortles), 2016 1st (TBD, but unlikely to be playoff team)

I did not like the board and was willing to bail for any future first. I ended up dropping Bortles for Brian Quick later on.

8.6.2014 Added Brian Quick

Well-worth dropping Blake Bortles in a start-1QB league.

10.15.2014 Was Offered 2015 1st for Brian Quick

A tidy little profit for a waiver wire pickup from two months earlier. The pick ended up 1.08 and I would take that for Quick in a vacuum today.

10.29.2014 Traded Ronnie Hillman, 15 2nd+3rd for Fred Jackson, 2015 1st

With Hillman getting some buzz, I was looking for any #PackageUp deal involving a future 1st. This ended up Hillman, 2.12, 3.03 for Jackson and 1.09.

11.19.2014 Added Charles Johnson

I think I nabbed him in every league on waivers this week.

12.6.2014 Added Richard Rodgers

Started to stash nuts for the winter. There are worse flyers than a day two pick catching passes from Aaron Rodgers.

12.10.2014 Added Crockett Gillmore

Another highly-drafted rookie tight end with upside in the offseason and for next season.

The Season

After a 1-3 opening month, I caught fire with 3-1 in the second. I was getting lucky as my point differential was horrible through the 4-4 faux start. I finished 7-7 despite being -100 in points scored/allowed on the season, missing the playoffs by a couple games. Based on potential points, I earned the 1.03 rookie draft slot.

Season-Ending Roster

QB

Russell Wilson, Carson Palmer

RB

Isaiah Crowell, C.J. Anderson, Jerick McKinnon, Latavius Murray, Robert Turbin, James White, Fred Jackson

WR

Odell Beckham, Sammy Watkins, Keenan Allen, Brandin Cooks, Davante Adams, Brian Quick, Charles Johnson, Cody Latimer, Jeff Janis, Duron Carter

TE

Eric Ebron, Tyler Eifert, Richard Rodgers, Luke Willson, Crockett Gillmore

Rookie Picks

1.03, 1.05, 1.09, 2.03, 2.06

Outlook

This team has an enviable wide receiver group filled with sub-25-year-old talents. C.J. Anderson is a potential asset to trade off in the offseason. The Eifert-Ebron committee should produce TE1 numbers in 2015. With three top-10 picks and another two top-20 selections in the upcoming draft, the league is in trouble.
