Continuing with the season recaps, here are other installments in the series:

SiriusXM IDP League

Dirty Dozen League

Maximum Security League

Team UTH Dynasty League

Delta 11 Dynasty League

Delta 12 Dynasty League

Delta 15 Dynasty League

This league started in 2014 and I expected to have the productive struggle going on in year one.

  • 12 teams, 0.5 RB PPR, 1.0 WR-TE
  • 22-man rosters
  • Start 1-2-3-1 with RB-WR-TE flex

Noteworthy Moves

In addition to the startup draft in the spring of 2014, here are the moves of note:

6.5.2014 Was offered Cam Newton, Golden Tate for Michael Floyd, Robert Woods

If able to travel back in time, I would accept this trade. Golden Tate exceeded even the most lofty expectations moving to Detroit and Cam Newton is a bankable asset going forward.

6.6.2014 Was offered Davante Adams, Jeff Janis for Montee Ball, John Brown

I was not a strong Montee Ball backer in the offseason, but got him cheap on the trade market. This would have been a quality flip for the Packers pair of receivers even though I like John Brown.

8.11.2014 Was offered Brian Quick, 2015 4th for Josh Huff

Brian Quick ended up on the waiver wire after this trade, but should have accepted this one. I am one of the bigger Huff fans out there, but Quick had a much higher ceiling in 2014 to escalate in value quickly.

10.10.2014 Was offered 2015 1st (ended up 1.11), 2016 1st for Allen Robinson

The proposal came from one of the strongest teams in the league for this season, so I projected both picks to be late in the round in my assessment. This was prior to Robinson going on IR.

11.6.2014 Traded Carson Palmer, 2015 4th, 2015 5th for Derek Carr, 2015 3rd

The other team sought a short-term option at quarterback and I ended up getting the picks added to the deal (Doug would be so proud). The picks ended up a worst case scenario, receiving the 3.12 and giving 4.01, 5.01, but it was worth a shot.

11.19.2014 Added Charles Johnson

This was one of my go-to moves in mid-November in my shallower leagues.

12.10.2014 Added Vernon Davis

Davis had a horrible season, but is still too talented to be on the waiver wire at the end of the season. I will bank on things turning around and look for a profit on Davis in the coming 12 months with at least a rookie pick upgrade.

The Season

As expected, the playoffs were not in the cards for me in year one. I won five games, but had the lowest potential points in the league, which garners the 1.01 draft position.

Season-Ending Roster

QB

Ryan Tannehill

RB

Christine Michael, Isaiah Crowell, Mark Ingram, Shane Vereen, Montee Ball, Robert Turbin, Joseph Randle, James White, Marion Grice, Tyler Gaffney

WR

Demaryius Thomas, Mike Evans, Allen Robinson, Michael Floyd, Donte Moncrief, Brian Quick, Charles Johnson, John Brown, Aaron Dobson, Robert Woods, Marlon Brown, Kamar Aiken

TE

Vernon Davis, Ladarius Green, Gavin Escobar

Rookie Picks

1.01, 2.01, 3.01

Outlook

My top receivers can pace any other team’s in the league. I need a little love from Mark Ingram’s landing spot in free agency or Shane Vereen, plus Marshawn Lynch leaving Seattle would help. Adding two top-13 rookies to the mix, I plan to be a long-term contender starting in 2015.
