My interest in developmental (devy) dynasty leagues is growing by the day. I used a baptism by fire method joining a college-to-NFL two-sided deep league in 2015. I drafted 40+ rounds in the 14-team college side, researching deep, and loving every minute of expanding my horizons. I watched the 2015 college more closely than every before. In short, it was blast. I loved the league, format, and the commissioner. However, I could not get past the clunky Fantrax.com. As a result, I left the league. Yes, I bailed. The site prevented me from enjoying the league. I liked the team and everything about the league.
Since, I have looked for a devy league on myfantasyleague.com. I found a decent dispersal opportunity this offseason and took it. The devy aspect is each team can draft at most one college player during the annual rookie draft as long as they are eligible to be drafted by the NFL the following year. Owners are free to trade for or away any devy players beyond the rookie drafting. This makes the rookie draft – and picks – a lot more interesting. The dispersal is over and I have already made two trades.
