The quarterback-wide receiver connection is a natural one. Most assume (correctly) a better quarterback is a good thing for his surrounding pass game targets. But to what degree?

This fantasy football study has been largely complete in my excel database for a couple of years now. Finally, I got around to finishing the data and findings into a consumable form.

  • 2008-2014 Data

The quarterback data is divided into quadrants of:

  • QB1-8
  • QB9-16
  • QB17-24
  • QB25-32

Then, I looked at the probabilities of finding each of following by quarterback quality:

  • Top-6 Receivers
  • Top-12 Receivers
  • Top-24 Receivers
  • Top-36 Receivers

The findings were eye-opening to say the least….
