On this week’s Under the Helmet podcast, there was a thought-provoking question regarding Ryan Tannehill. It was how Ryan Tannehill’s value was so low considering most are high on his weapons of DeVante Parker and Jarvis Landry. Plus Leonte Carroo was a strong prospect added to the weapon set in 2016. The question got me thinking and I created a weapons ratio for quarterbacks. I added together all the UTH values (12-team, typical format/scoring) for team quarterbacks, then added all the wide receivers and tight ends in the database. Then I divided the weapons total by the quarterback score for a final metric. Here is the current list:
