Josh Hill

In typical UTH fashion, one of my teams was weak at tight end in 2014. The Ladarius Green breakout hit the pause button as Antonio Gates found the fountain of youth and Green was used, questionably, as a blocker. I also invested in promising rookie Austin Seferian-Jenkins, but rookie tight ends are historically slow out of the gate to emerge into fantasy starters.

The 2015 offseason hit and Josh Hill was already on my watch list from the end of 2014. As is the usual case, 25 rosters spots plus two taxi positions was not enough to house all of the target upside options. The Jimmy Graham trade occurred in early March and time had run out on admiring Josh Hill from afar. Most earmarked the Saints to address tight end in the NFL draft, but what if they did not?

Each year owners are allocated $100 of blind bidding money of which excess funds can carry over to future years. With a bid of $10 for Josh Hill the week following the Jimmy Graham trade I felt it was aggressive in relation to typical bidding habits of the league, but who knows with the latest news of Graham. I ended up securing Hill with the $10 bid.

Why Josh Hill?
