Question: Kamar Aiken continues to take full advantage of his unchallenged opportunities this season. What’s his best case scenario in 2016?
Tim Torch: WR3 in PPR? Baltimore is such a clouded team to look at offensively now. Good QB? He is injured. Good running game? Buck Allen is catching the ball, but not much else (-1 in a playoff match-up for me this week). A deep wide receiver group? Perriman injured, Steve Smith injured, Pitta (remember him?) might be retired. All I see on this team is a lot of question marks.
Jordan Spires: WR3 in PPR for sure. Other than Perriman and Javorius Allen I don’t know if you want to own anybody on the Ravens offense. Sure, by default guys like Aiken are going to get theirs, but the Ravens don’t have weapons that can challenge defenses right now and Aiken easily could be eliminated by top DBs or at worst a DB and a Safety over the top.
Katie Flower: His best case scenario is they don’t draft a receiver and plan on him being oppostie Perriman. With Maxx Williams having another year under his belt, that could be a decent core for a healthy Flacco.
Tim Smith: Aiken has surpassed my expectations; however, he is currently living on his ceiling. This is it for him–it doesn’t get any better. Perriman will return next year, and I firmly believe the Ravens will draft another receiver early. Aiken could very well be useful next season as the Raven’s young receiving core progresses, but Michael Campanaro will return next year as well. There won’t be nearly as many targets for Aiken. He tops out as a solid WR 3 in 2016 and is not a long-term asset.
