While a productive fantasy wide receiver does not have to be a ‘burner’, at least adequate speed is a comforting metric profile trait. Speed Score has been around for a number of years and it is used as a part of the projection model where a player’s weight-based 40-time produces a number, centering around an average score of 100. Anything below 90 is a pretty sub-par athlete for their weight.
