The power of twitter strikes again with this series of polarizing dynasty players submitted to @ChadParsonsNFL. Every year there are players with a wide range of market values in dynasty leagues. Whether in a startup draft or via trading, we as owners must take a stand on one side or the other. With each player, I will give some arguments for and against them, finalizing with a conclusion on whether to turn away, or embrace them, as dynasty assets.
In This Edition: Cody Latimer
Glass Half-Full
*Notes by Chad Parsons, Justin Huestis, Katie Flower*
- Peyton Manning’s last 10 healthy seasons: 9 seasons with at least 2 top-36 WRs
- Same as above, 5 of those seasons produced 2 top-12 WRs
- In 4-of-5 seasons without 2 top-12 WRs, there was a top-12 TE in mix. Now no Julius Thomas
- 3rd-best Athleticism score of ’14 drafted WRs behind Moncrief, Janis
- Similar Athleticism score to Kevin White, Jaelen Strong in ’15 class
Glass Half-Empty
- New coach Kubiak likes 2-WR sets, would require Latimer to jump E.Sanders for breakout
- Barely played as a rookie, nearly unheard of as Round 2 drafted wide receiver
- Peyton Manning boost likely in final year or two at best
