The 2015 running back class is a breath of fresh air for the dynasty landscape. The youth and the solid metric profiles are much-needed. The NFL also was very efficient with their running back selections, especially in the early rounds. In terms of athleticism only four drafted backs this year have negative athleticism scores, one of which is below -15%.
Compare that to 2014, where Jeremy Hill, Devonta Freeman, and De’Anthony Thomas all had -10% or lower and were drafted in the top-125. I can hear the Jeremy Hill backers already with the previous sentence, but he is a big, productive runner, not an overwhelming athlete.
