One of my favorite types of running back prospects is the big back who can catch. 220 pounds is the threshold for a prototypically-sized prospect where we can project a higher-volume role more easily. The average starting running back in the NFL is around 220 pounds…and that’s merely the average. Add to the prototypical frame a back with some receiving chops out of college and we are cooking with gas for target players with 3-down potential.
